Miranda miraculously missed the problem and hit another nerve. She didn't even realize she'd told Bianchi that her proximity to her brother made him sick. Or if she did realize it, didn't understand that it sounded hurtful.

And then she doesn't know that Bianchi really does think Hayato hates her. And she's just been counting on her love to change his mind. She thought she'd made progress last year but his reception this year indicates a setback twice the amount that she'd gained the previous year. "Hayato's family... hasn't been the kindest of places."
