About her meme
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Bianchi is 5'4½" and she's all lean muscle and soft curves. She relies heavily on looking like a knockout to get close to the people she kills so she takes good care of herself and eats well enough to add a softness to the muscle required to do her job.
2. How old is she? Currently she's 19 in canon she ranges from 17-27.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? Bianchi moves like a model. Ever movement is carefully calculated to draw attention to the fact that she is a woman. She's always seemed much older than she is, and she uses her body like a woman who knows how to use it. She tends to stand with her hip cocked to create an S curve and make herself look confident. She walks with a strut, all hips and legs. She wears clothes that accentuate her posture as well.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Bianchi has a very high tolerance to toxins. Since her body creates them she usually has no problems with illness. Her immune system can bitchslap almost anything you throw at her. Bianchi works out, and trains so she's very healthy. What she eats may not be particularly healthy but bugs might provide a decent amount of protein.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Again, Bianchi moves like a cat. She stalks. She can stand still and stare at someone until they want to sink through the floor just to get away. And she can pounce just as quickly. The only time she isn't 'black widow' is when Reborn is involved. Then she turns into a girly pile of goo. She still slinks, but she becomes obviously more shy and less self assured, her posture hunches in on itself more and she looks overall more her age. She clearly adores him but for all her passion for him does not appear to be as confident around him.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? Bianchi thinks she's hot and generally people agree. She uses her body as a weapon as much as she uses her poison cooking as weapon. Men get stupid for a pretty girl and she doesn't mind watching them get stupid. For a woman who relies on getting close to someone and tricking them into eating or drinking a poison she has to be able to charm her way there. And showing off a little T&A or some really long legs does not hurt in the least. She has full lips even without lipstick and her vibrant eyes are generally hooded when she's relaxed or showing herself off. Her breasts are full, probably a D cup and she has enough ass to grab if you weren't afraid to lose the hand. And very long legs. Several character make note of her beauty in her canon. Even Reborn has apparently been attracted to her enough to make her one of his lovers (although the meaning of that is questionable as we don't know how long he's been a toddler).
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Bianchi is Mediterranean, tan, perhaps a little lighter than other Italian women but she lives in Sicily so she sees a lot of sun when she's there.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Bianchi has very long very full hair. The shades vary in canon so I'm sticking with brown with auburn highlights. In the anime it's actually more pink.
9. What color are her eyes?
Bianchi has green eyes.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
She has a scorpion tattoo on her left bicep representing her mafia name "Poison Scorpion Bianchi'. A heart tattooed on her right butt cheek.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Her temples, jaw and her arms and across her shoulders. When she gets angry her whole face tightens, she grits her teeth. When she gets angry she also tends to throw thing, try to stab with things, try to grab someone and throttle them so tension sings all the way through her upper body. She kicks when her hands are too busy with other things but kicking is not her first line of defense... or in her case offense. When she's not angry she is very good about relaxing her muscles, it helps her move more fluidly.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? Bianchi's casual clothes are cargo pants and tank tops with trendy logos or words printed across them. But she grew up in a wealthy Italian family and she's VERY aware of fashion. She has designer clothes of every style. She probably has more than one closet or one very big closet. Even in the few canon images available she has everything from slinky evening gowns with plunging necklines or high slits (very James Bond girl) to designer jackets with fringe and feathers. All her clothes are tailored to fit her correctly. And she has disguises as well (ie: Pizza Delivery Girl, Squirrel).
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Again Bianchi wears clothes made specifically for her body. They fit her like a glove and she wears them well. Even if she wasn't comfortable in them she'd look comfortable in them. Bianchi has a remarkable poker face when she's not irate.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
It really depends on the job. If it's going to involve a lot of walking and known fighting she tends to go in her cargo pants and t-shirts or tank tops. If it's a mafia gathering she'll usually be in a gown or in the traditional suit (skirt or slacks, button up white shirt, thin tie), and if it requires a disguise she's got plenty of those as well.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Bianchi wears slinky panties. Usually a bit of lace or silk is involved.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Bianchi has a purr. It's low and velvet, abnormal for an Anime female. When she yells at someone it turns into a growl.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
Bianchi is confident vocally. She says whatever comes to her mind and she says it like a caress even if it's asinine. It usually sounds a little lazy even. Though when it comes to things she's passionate about she can be very firm. And might ignore whatever you say back to her.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Bianchi in my headcanon, always has a distinctly Italian accent. No matter what language she's speaking. It flows like Italian as well, long drawn out vowels that rise and fall almost song-like.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
It's known she speaks Italian and Japanese, I assume she also speaks at least English and Spanish for any jobs that involve the Mafia outside of Italy. The US and Central Amercia being known for their organized crime activity. I don't play her knowing Chinese because she never speaks it to I-pin, though they have high known mob activity as well.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Sometimes when her mind stops functioning properly she might slip back into Italian. Or if she's talking to someone who speaks Italian she might slip back into it depending on who else is listening.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
Bianchi never thinks about her words. She says whatever comes to mind. Regardless of what it is or who she's talking to. Although she is a very good listener and observer.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
When she wants to be she's very eloquent. She waxes poetic about love and makes very astute observations. When she gets angry she reverts to cavewoman, usually a name and screaming. Around Reborn her mind kind of melts a little as well, and she spends a lot of time fawning.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Bianchi's is smart. Again she was raised by a mafia don even though it's a sub family so she's had tutors for everything from language to history to music. And she started killing at a young age so she knows how to defend herself she just doesn't always think logically. She's given to whims and she will sometimes do things that make no sense because she feels like doing it.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? Again, Bianchi observes well, she notices things but when it comes right down to it, she's reactionary. Bianchi does things because that's what she feels like doing. It makes her very good at her job, unpredictable and passionate.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Bianchi is not logical. She changes her mind on the fly, she's hypocritical and fickle. She's the type of person who can be playing a game and get bored halfway through and just leave. She claims that love is the strongest force of all but it's hard to see anywhere she's truly experienced it unless you count her father with his mistress. She thinks she's desperately in love with Reborn but it's more idealistic than practical and clearly not returned. Reborn uses her when she's useful and ignores her the rest of the time. The only pure love she has is for her brother who vomits at the sight of her. But she left Italy to watch over him as much as to be with Reborn. There is nothing practical about Bianchi.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
Bianchi has been given the finest education money can buy, at least through junior high. She was apparently learning from Reborn while he was training Dino as he used her in his training (making her try to kill him with poison cooking), so her assassin training started early as Dino's almost eight years older than her. She's only seventeen when she shows up in the manga and she's already been doing big jobs as a full blown assassin with Reborn for a while before the manga starts.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Bianchi is a first class chef, although most of the food she makes is poison. If she wants to she could actually make high class restaurant quality food. And she's always trying to make new and exotic things. She has an inherent toxic touch, but she adds poisonous things to her food as well. She's also very good at judging people although she sometimes ignores what she knows and does what she feels like anyway.
She knows how to use a gun, but she's not a great shot.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Bianchi is very very extroverted. She's not shy.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Bianchi, mostly, appears lazily calm. Even when she's upset she doesn't tend to show it unless you kick one of her triggers and then she loses her fucking mind. But with that in mind she is a walking contradiction. Something that upset her yesterday could garner no reaction from her today. Something she showed interest in before might be handwaved. And she might grow visibly upset about by baffling things. Bianchi also tends to turn on the charm on whims and try to drive other people to distraction. She tests and pushes and prods trying to get reactions out of people and she loves to see them squirm. She likes to tease but might not react well to being teased.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
She has a bit of women's intuition so sometimes she's wary around people who give off dangerous vibes but mostly she's relaxed and observant around new people. Then again she can also totally ignore them if they aren't interesting enough.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
Bianchi does both but she's more likely to react. If she gets bored or interested in something though, she'll act.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Unless she knows she's severely outclassed she fights. And if she's pissed off enough all she's thinking is 'KILL'. But she does have some measure of self preservation. She'll duck and cover if she thinks she has to.
When she knows she's severely outclassed she's actually pretty terrified but she has way too much pride to let on. She'll find away to snark and then get herself the fuck out of there.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Bianchi is a bit cruel. She teases, and pokes and prods. And she'll poison people for fun. She knows what her food does, she's not stupid, and yet she still feeds it to her poor brother. Sometimes I'm pretty sure it's to keep him from running away. She's always bringing things to feed to people and when they try not to she'll totally guilt trip them and act hurt. She's a tease, she's a flirt and she is amused by other people's suffering. With that said not all her teasing is cruel, she can be very playful. Sometimes even mothering.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
Bianchi has clear anger management issues. And she doesn't actually deal with them, she gives into them whole-heartedly. She's a sadist. Which she also indulges in regularly. She's clearly not completely stable. And for all her confidence and talk about love, she falls for men who are dangerous and who don't love her back or respect her in the long run, possibly because she might not actually believe love is real or possible and she doesn't want to be hurt any more. If she falls for a man she knows will never love her back, she can throw all her love at him and know already that it won't be returned. Know already that she's as likely to be killed as kissed. And that means she can be as passionate as she'd like. But it does still hurt that her feelings aren't returned and the added revulsion from her brother has only compounded that.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? The first set of poison cooking cookies she made and fed to her brother. She'll always feel a little guilty about that and then her father kept asking her to make more and she knows it's traumatized him. Her father getting a mistress. Hayato being brought home, someone to adore and fawn over and take care of. Falling in love with Romeo, and trying to become a woman quickly for him. Killing Romeo (although no one knows for certain she did it). Meeting Reborn. Her first kill. The first time Reborn put her in a slinky dress and taught her how to seduce a man so she could kill him more easily.
14. What does she fear?
Her brother dying or being hurt both physically and mentally. He's the person she cares the most about despite her actions toward Reborn. Although Reborn's death does devastate her.
Bianchi also fears getting hurt. When she cares about someone she'll throw herself wholeheartedly into it. But any time she has it hasn't been returned and having yoru heart crushed is not a pleasant feeling.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
Bianchi doesn't actually have goals. She knows she could die at any time so she indulges. Whatever catches her fancy she indulges in. She also doesn't expect love returned so she has no plans to marry although being the only full heir for her family she'll probably be married off eventually. She'd love it if Reborn would marry her just to keep her from having to deal with that. Daddy couldn't complain if it was the number one mafia hitman. Well he could but he'd be afraid to. But Bianchi pretty much knows her future is set for her regardless of what she wants so she's just trying to live life to the fullest every day at this point.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
No man Bianchi loves appears to love her back. And sometimes she hurts because of it. Even her father is distant. It's an aching need she knows she'll never have filled.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
Distant. Her father is better with her than with Hayato but they aren't terribly close. Her mother hates Hayato for the reminder he is of her husband loving another woman when he doesn't love her. It leaves her cruel and bitter and aloof. She taught Bianchi about fashion but that's about all they share. And she doesn't approve of Bianchi's work.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Bianchi loves her half brother with all of her heart. But their relationship is strained and one sided as far as she can tell Hayato hates her. But she doesn't let that deter her. she worries about him and cares for his well being. But she also still poisons him occasionally and pretends she doesn't know why he gets sick at the sight of her. Some of that is for her own state of mind as much as his.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
She's not close to anyone.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Bianchi is a member of the Vongola family although she's a freelance assassin so she's not terribly close to anyone. She does seem to at least grow protective of Tsuna as much as she thinks he's got no backbone and no drive. She adores the girls in the family, taking on something of a big sister role, teaching them and letting them confide in her and helping them when they're hurt. She watches the children occasionally and is actually quite nurturing when the mood strikes. Although she's also just as likely to threaten them into submission.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Bianchi really doesn't have close friends. Everyone is an acquaintance. Her closest female friends are Haru and Kyoko who are much younger and don't seek her out much. And the closest man in her life is Reborn who ignores her unless he needs something from her.
6. Does she have other close friends?
No. Bianchi is actually probably pretty lonely. Not that she'd ever let on. And if someone asked her she'd deny it and laugh about it.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Bianchi tends to make people squirm, scare them or leave them in awe. She doesn't get close to many people and when she does she dotes on them and mothers them. She's very good at making superficial relationships. Real ones scare the pants off of her because she doesn't want to get hurt. So she keeps people who might care about her at arms length. She sleeps with people who don't expect anything more from her and she loves people she already knows can't love her back.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
Hayato and then friends.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
Single. Until her father makes her marry someone for politics.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
One sided with Reborn with whom she is 'lover number 4'.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Romeo. Who broke her heart. He's dead now. Reborn is the only other man she seems interested in.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
Power. She likes powerful men with a lot of confidence. Someone who will make her blood boil. Someone who will drive her wild with passion, and might kill her. She likes her love life dangerous and exciting. If she really looked deep she'd want someone who would love her and only her despite her flaws, forever. Even if they got into fights he'd be able to forgive her eventually and she him. But she's so afraid of falling in love for real again that she prefers whirlwinds of passion.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
Bianchi might be nurturing if she had a child but she's had such a screwed up childhood she's not all that interest in making another one suffer. Eventually she'll probably have to have kids. Continue a family line and all that fun stuff.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
Any woman who shows a passing interest in Reborn. Every single person Reborn shows an interest in. Currently Yamamoto is the thorn in her side.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
Bianchi's a one or a two. If she plays with women it's only out of mild curiosity or to interest a man. Or boredom. She might hit on women if she was bored.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
She likes it. She indulges in it. It's not that it's important so much as she likes it and does it when she feels like it. And when she has sex it's just as passionate as everything else in her life.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Turn ons: danger, excitement, strength and confidence in her partner, experienced partners, inappropriateness of the location. Turn offs: ignoring her, not taking an active role, body odor, indecisiveness. Bianchi could be in the middle of the act and if a partner annoys her enough she'd leave them unfulfilled.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
Scorpio of course. And she pretty much embodies it, frighteningly so. Determined and forceful, emotional and intuitive, powerful and passionate, exciting and magnetic. Jealous and resentful, compulsive and obsessive, secretive and stubborn.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
Bianchi is Italian and in the Mafia. She grew up Catholic despite all the ways her life clashes with Catholic belief. It makes her spirituality suspect at best as she indulges in several of the deadly sins regularly and breaks several commandments as well. When she speaks in awe it tends to have a religious tone, and sometimes in the throes of passion religious words come out. She attends church but she isn't what you'd call a 'good catholic girl'.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Bianchi's moral code is kind of fluid. Mostly she focuses on people she like shouldn't be hurt. And anything she has to do to make that happen, she does regardless of how morally correct it might be. But she won't do things just because people want her to. Bianchi only does what Bianchi wants and if people try to force her it royally pisses her off. She does not like being disrespected either. She expects people to treat her with some modicum of respect and most of the time she returns it aside from teasing.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Mostly indifferent unless they effect her. If it affects her negatively she can be pretty intolerant. Otherwise rock on with your bad self.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She doesn't really have any prejudices as far as I can tell. She is more offensive to individuals than any specific group of people.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Bianchi has more money than she knows what to do with. Her father's loaded and her work is expensive for hire. She will never want for money. But she's still pretty stingy. When a man takes her out he pays, he buys her drinks because that's how it's done. Even if the man doesn't realize it and spends time with her at the bar, she'll leave and he'll find he's footing her bill.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
Daughter of a mafia don, she's well off. And well known freelance assassin. It hasn't changed.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
In Italy, in the Villa in Palermo. In Japan she lives in an upscale apartment. Or sometimes spends the night at Tsuna's. On the road she stays in five star hotels unless she needs to hide and then roadside motels are just fine. It's not like she has to have the best but if she gets a choice, why not go nice?
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Clothes, ingredients and makeup.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
Kills. She's very good at it. And she likes it. She's also good at information gathering and undercover work. Sometimes she does the odd bodyguard job.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
Cooking, giving advice, doting on her brother or Kyoko and Haru. Harassing Tsuna and his guardians, collecting information. Fawning over Reborn.
Dancing. Bianchi loves to dance, it expressions her passion physically and she can lose herself in it.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Bianchi eats what she wants when she wants to and she can pretty much make anything she wants. She drinks when she feels like it, wine with meals, coctails etc. She doesn't smoke though her brother is a walking chimney. It would ruin her sense of taste and she values that too much.
